Code Superpowers with The Avengers Hero Inventor Kit from littlebits

Superheros have been fascinating every age group for decades. Who hasn’t dreamed of having some kind of superpower at one time or another? While science isn’t quite on our side yet to help us with invisibility or blasting fire from our eyes, littlebits is here to help your kids code some cool superpowers.

Riding on the back of the success of the littlebits Droid Inventor kit, the latest addition to the littlebits family are the Avengers. The kit comes with Tony Stark’s Iron Man hand, a prop to hold the wearable transparent sleeve, and there’s an app to help kids learn and play with step by step instructions.

Kids complete activities using the app while they build the bits together. Each superhero training teaches something different. For example, Iron Man will help you use the LED Matrix (also in the CodeKit) and the Accelerometer is used by Ant-Man and the Wasp, to teach kids about speed and movement. The light sensor training is from Black Widow, sound effects are from The Hulk and the coding lessons are from Black Panther and Shuri.

If you already have some littlebits at home, the new bits in this kit are the accelerometer, the round LED matrix and the sound effects bits. At least this Superhero merchandise is educational and the bits can be re-used to create your own inventions.

The Avengers Hero Inventor Kit is the result of a collaboration with Marvel and is available for pre-order from August 24th from littleBits and Amazon.
